Once you're in our roster, we contact you as soon as a project fits, which depending on the project can take weeks or months. An automatic confirmation after applying is not yet a promise of a booking.

Background acting means filling the background in film, series or advertising. Unlike actors, background performers have no lines to speak, they add to the overall picture of a scene through their presence. We cast background roles per project, specifically for individual productions, not as a permanent mass pool.

Yes, every shoot day is paid, and the fee is stated clearly with each request. Payment runs through a service contract, usually within a month of the shoot. Important: check out with set management at the end of the shoot day, otherwise we can't confirm your attendance.
A shoot day usually lasts up to 10 hours, 8 for commercial shoots, overtime is paid extra, and meals are included. You'll normally get details on wardrobe, time and location only the day before, so keep the whole day free. From 10 background performers on, someone from the PCA team is on site, otherwise you can reach us by WhatsApp or email.
For background acting you need no prior experience, what matters is reliability and punctuality. It can't be a full-time income, though: legally, background work counts as an expense allowance, not a salary.
For actors, supporting actors and up-and-coming actors we need: 4 to 5 professional photos, an about-me video and a showreel, plus a CV with your previous projects and your training or genuine acting experience.

Yes. If you're especially talented and bring experience, you can apply with 4 to 5 high-quality photos, an about-me video and further video material, plus proof of workshops, courses or attendance certificates. We mainly work with talent from Austria. But since we also get international requests, it depends on the project and the production's requirements, sometimes we're specifically looking for people from other countries.
Yes. Which languages you speak can be decisive depending on the production. List all your languages and your level in your profile, the more precise, the better we can consider you for the right roles.
Castings usually run as e-castings: you get a concrete briefing and send in your self-tape. Sometimes people are also invited directly to an in-person casting by the production or the client. Either way, we give you all the information you need beforehand.
Our fee is settled directly with the client, not out of your pay. What's in the offer is what you get.

A dance video is essential for dancers, it shows style, technique and presence. Plus an about-me video and 4 to 5 current photos. The better your material, the more precisely we can suggest you for the right productions.
No. What matters is that you come across naturally on camera and can follow directions on set. Your type, your ability and your presence count for more than acting experience.
TV spots, image films, social media productions, brand content and corporate formats. Real faces and specialists are booked for campaigns that want to show authenticity and diversity rather than a glossy aesthetic.
For advertising and campaigns, usage rights are agreed, which govern how long and where a client may use your image or video. They're set out clearly in the contract in advance. PCA handles the processing.
