We contact you as soon as a project is a match. This can take weeks or even months – we work project by project, not speculatively. An automatic confirmation after registration does not mean you have been confirmed for a booking.

Extras fill the background in film, series or advertising. Unlike actors, extras have no lines to speak – they contribute to the overall image of a scene through their presence.
Yes, every shooting day is paid. The fee varies by production and is specified with each enquiry.
It depends on the production: for film and series typically up to 10 hours, for commercials 8 hours. Overtime can always occur and is paid additionally. Catering and lunch break are included.
For production reasons, this information is usually communicated the day before. Sometimes earlier – but that is the exception. We recommend keeping the entire day free once confirmed.
For groups of 10 or more extras, someone from the PCA team is on site. For smaller groups you can reach us directly via WhatsApp or by phone at the office.
After the shoot you receive a notification from our billing tool. Payment can take up to one month after the shooting day. Settlement is via a service contract. Important: please sign off with set management at the end of the shooting day – otherwise we cannot confirm your participation.
No. No prior knowledge is required for extras work. What matters is that you are reliable, follow instructions on set and arrive on time.
No. Extras work is legally classified as expense compensation – not a salary. It cannot provide a full-time income.
For actors, supporting actors and emerging actors we need: 4–5 professional photos, an About-Me video and showreel, a CV with previous projects and artistic training, and a state-recognised diploma (e.g. stage proficiency certificate).
For supporting players we need: 4–5 professional photos, an About-Me video plus initial supplementary video clips, and evidence of artistic activity, e.g. an aptitude test.
Yes. Those who are particularly talented and experienced can apply with 4–5 high-quality photos, an About-Me video and additional video material, plus evidence of workshops, courses or participation. If you are unsure about your application materials, our online course or a 1:1 profile analysis can help.
We mainly work with talents from Austria. However, since we also receive international enquiries, it depends on the project and production requirements – sometimes we specifically look for people from other countries.
Yes. Which languages you speak can be decisive depending on the production. List all languages and your level in your profile – the more precise, the better we can match you to suitable roles.
Castings usually run as e-castings – you receive a specific briefing and submit your self-tape. Sometimes people are also invited directly by the production or client to an in-person casting. In both cases you will receive all the necessary information from us in advance.
Our fee is billed directly to the client – not deducted from your payment. What is stated in the offer is what you receive.
Real Faces are people with a distinctive, authentic appearance – not classic models, but real faces that instantly work on screen. In demand for advertising, campaigns and everything where authenticity matters more than perfection.
4–5 professional photos are required. An About-Me video is not mandatory, but significantly increases your chances – productions want to see how you come across on camera before enquiring.
Specialists are people with a specific profession or special skill – e.g. doctors, tradespeople, athletes or dancers – who are to be portrayed authentically on camera. Yes, dancers are explicitly included.
A dance video is essential for dancers – it shows style, technique and presence. In addition an About-Me video and 4–5 current photos. The better your material, the more precisely we can propose you for suitable productions.
No. What matters is that you come across naturally on camera and can follow instructions on set. Your type, skill and presence count for more than acting experience.
TV spots, brand films, social media productions, brand content and corporate formats. Real Faces and specialists are booked for campaigns that want to show authenticity and diversity – rather than a polished aesthetic.
For advertising and campaigns, usage rights are agreed – this defines how long and where a client may use your image or video. These are clearly set out in the contract in advance. PCA handles the process.
